Hamish aka Salty.  The larger than life wooden figure has been a landmark in Bayfield for many years.  He started out as the mascot for Harry's Bar.    He is currently undergoing extensive repair, but will be back soon.

Demo at Marten Arts

This is from an older photo of the Inn.  The bench is no longer there.  According to Gayle - The Little Inn's owner, the bench had to be removed because it was interfering with the roots of the willow tree.

Best Fisherman on the Pier

16x20.  I have moved to Bayfield, Ontario for the summer.  Quite a change from Pender Island.
This morning while walking on the pier, I saw this fisherman - he had  5 very large bass suspended in the water and caught another as I walked past.  I was half way home when I realized I had to paint him, so ran back and asked his permission for a photo.  He immediately started to haul his fish out of the water, but I told him that wouldn't be necessary.
