Arbutus Gold Sky 24x24
This painting has been accepted by the BCCA Victoria.
Throughout my many visits to the BCCA's Vancouver Island Centre, I appreciated the variety and beauty of the works of art gracing its walls.
While waiting for daily radiation treatment in the "Arbutus" waiting room, I became quite familiar with an empty wall that I longed to fill with a painting.
I would be honoured if that is where this ends up.
Last night's "Jingle Mingle" fundraiser raised over $900,000 towards the purchase of a T-cell production suite - critical for the ongoing immunotherapy research programme.

Big Willow, Little Inn
This is from an older photo of the Inn. The bench is no longer there. According to Gayle - The Little Inn's owner, the bench had to be removed because it was interfering with the roots of the willow tree.

Best Fisherman on the Pier
16x20. I have moved to Bayfield, Ontario for the summer. Quite a change from Pender Island.
This morning while walking on the pier, I saw this fisherman - he had 5 very large bass suspended in the water and caught another as I walked past. I was half way home when I realized I had to paint him, so ran back and asked his permission for a photo. He immediately started to haul his fish out of the water, but I told him that wouldn't be necessary.

Blue Bridge Series #2 Sunset on VIA
Rail service was discontinued in March 2011 when corrosion was discovered on the bridge tracks. The VIA Rail "Dayliner" serviced the Western Communities with one daily round trip to Courtney and back. A distance of 225km. There are no rails included in the new bridge plan so Esquimalt Station is now the end of the line. The rail bridge was dismantled in 2012.
