Actually did this on Sunday after acquiring a gorgeous Squash.  Haven't had time to post it until today.  Back on Pender and back to painting right now.

I started this last fall and just finished it yesterday!  Last year my studio was in the spare bedroom.  The leaves have not even started to change over there yet.

Last Day Sunflowers

I thought I was sick of doing sunflowers, but they were on their last legs today, so had to do one last painting of them.

Anglican Church Retired

On the weekend we drove down to Gowland Point - the most southerly point of the Pender Islands.  Just south of Poet's Cove Resort, we passed the Anglican church.  A quaint, rustic little place tucked in amongst the trees, now retired.

The last three sunflower paintings were painted from flowers I bought at the market on Saturday.  In the first one they were quite wilted from the heat of the car, but they perked up with some water for the last two poses.
